Linda Parise passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, just days before her 79th birthday, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with ALS.

She was born on May 25, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Steve and Geraldine Gally.  Early in life, she lived on the North Side of Pittsburgh before her family moved to Evans City, Pennsylvania, where she spent much of her childhood alongside her two sisters, Stephanie and Leah.  Linda graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1965 as part of the school's first graduating class, following the merger of Evans City High School into the newly formed district.  During her high school years, she was a proud member of the High Steppers drill team.  It was one of her favorite high school memories, and she enjoyed reminiscing about those days throughout her life.

In 1968, she moved to Washington, Pennsylvania, to live with her beloved cousin Karen, who helped her begin a new chapter of life. There, she began working at Bobby Brooks, a women’s clothing company.  Shortly after moving to Washington, she met the love of her life, Ralph.  Together they shared nearly 58 years of marriage, grounded in faith, family, and unconditional love.

Together they built a loving family and raised their two sons, Ralph and Brandon.  Linda also loved Brandon’s wife, Rachel, as one of her own. She carried in her heart the memory of her daughter, Rachel, who passed away at birth.  Linda was also a proud and deeply devoted grandmother to Ryan, Braelyn, and Roman, who brought tremendous joy and meaning to her life.  She loved and enjoyed the company of her nieces and nephews, and always cherished time spent with her extended family.

Above all else, she loved being a mom, "Gram," and "Nonna."  She often said being a stay-at-home mom was the best "job" she ever had. Her family was always her greatest priority, and she dedicated her life to making sure those she loved felt cared for, supported, and deeply loved every single day.

After raising her family, she worked for many years in the school cafeterias at both the middle school and later Washington High School before spending 13 years working in retail.  In 2009, she retired to help care for her first grandson, Ryan, while his parents worked, something she considered one of life’s greatest blessings.  Linda treasured every moment she spent with her grandchildren and took immense pride in watching them grow.

She had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life's simple moments.  Linda loved flowers and gardening, reading Stephen King novels, cooking special meals for her family, attending church, and Sunday breakfasts. Music and dancing were always part of her life, especially Motown.  She was known for making holidays and family gatherings feel special and welcoming, always making sure everyone was fed and cared for.  Linda was also a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan who faithfully cheered for the Pirates and Steelers.

She will be remembered for her strength, resilience, faith, warmth, and the deep love she gave so freely to those around her.  Linda was the heart of her family, a protector, a teacher, and a source of unconditional love and support throughout her life.  Her kindness, great sense of humor, feisty spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her family takes comfort in knowing her pain has ended and that she is now at peace in Heaven with God. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest in eternal peace Linda.  Your job fulfilled, your love forever.
