Welcome to Susie's Supporters
Welcome to Susie’s Supporters fundraising homepage dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). We invite you to join us in our goal to make a difference in the lives of those living with ALS by supporting groundbreaking research and ultimately finding a cure for this devastating disease.
Why We Walk
It will be 7 years this December that our family lost Sue to ALS. Susie was the most amazing Mom, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, and most of all, person. This disease is brutal and can devastate any family after diagnosis. It is in her honor we walk to gain awareness and the events and opportunities we have in Arizona to help support the families dealing with this disease.
About ALS
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It leads to the loss of muscle control, impacting a person's ability to speak, eat, move, and even breathe. Currently, there is no known cure for ALS, making it all the more essential to support research efforts.
Why Your Donation Matters
By donating to our cause, you are directly contributing to advancements in ALS research. Your generosity will fund critical studies that aim to understand the causes of ALS, develop effective treatments, and ultimately find a cure. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by this disease.
The past five (5) years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
Thank you for donating and helping Susie’s Supporters raise money and awareness for ALS.
