Greetings Family & Friends;

As you know, three years ago Sheila was diagnosed with ALS - "Lou Gehrig's disease". It is a terminal illness that slowly attacks her voluntary muscles.  

After the diagnosis, we contacted the ALS Association, Arizona Chapter. That group of people has provided us with information and assistance in the form of equipment that helps us around the house and outside as well. They have been very responsive to all of our requests and needs.  Without their help, this trip we are on would have been filled with more bumps than a double diamond ski run.

Since Sheila's diagnoses she has fought like a prize fighter. She entered a six month trial of an experimental drug. She has also requested and received the latest approved medication designed to slow her progression. As of today, there is still no cure, only medicines that we hope slow the progression.

We would like to help raise ALS awareness and give back to the ALS Association, Arizona Chapter. Our vehicle for doing that is an ALS awareness walk Saturday, September 16th here in Prescott, AZ. If you can be here for the walk, we would love to see you. There is no fee for walking, all ages are welcome and all donations will go to the ALS Association, Arizona Chapter. We will also have a few raffle items there as well. After all, we are getting into the holiday season so it is never too early to get fun items.
