Welcome to My Personal Page
I am reaching out to you to invite you to donate and help me reach my ALS Walk fundraising goal! The Walk to End ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
My brother, Adalberto La Cucaracha Diaz has been fighting ALS since 1998, but was diagnosed in October 1999. He is truly a miracle in the sense that as you will read below, the life expectancy of a person with ALS is 2 to 5 years.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Those of you who know my brother, Beto or as most of you call him "Betito", was a healthy and normal boy, who grew up into a healthy and normal young man, but at the age of 33 that all changed. However, every day since, he has lived life with one purpose and that is HOPE. HOPE that a cure will be found, and HOPE that he would regain some of what he's lost. He's never felt sorry for himself, and he's never stopped enjoying life, as limited as this has become for him.
That?s why I?m walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To support the caregivers who help their loved one fight this disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: ?You Have ALS? again!

At the Tucson ALS Walk 2025 homepage click on "Donate" and search for our team name "Kick ALS Y QUE". Any amount is truly appreciated, and we would love it if you joined our team on October 25, 2025 at Hi Corbett Field for the walk. Registration starts at 8:00AM with the walk beginning at 9:00AM.
The past few years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
But, we can?t stop now! The key to a cure starts with all of US. Please consider walking with me or making a donation to my team. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
Thank you to all who are able to donate to this worthy cause and to those of you who have supported this cause and our family over the years. Your love, kindness and support has carried us all these years, and we pray that God's goodness and blessings always fall upon you and your loved ones!
