Saturday, November 8th, we walk in memory and honor of Susan Roder with the goal of raising awareness and funds to help families affected by ALS.
Why We Walk
It will be 9 years this December that our family lost Sue to ALS. Susie was the most amazing Mom, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, and most of all, person. This disease is brutal and can devastate any family after diagnosis. It is in her honor we walk to gain awareness and the events and opportunities we have in Arizona to help support the families dealing with this disease.
About ALS
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It leads to the loss of muscle control, impacting a person's ability to speak, eat, move, and even breathe. Currently, there is no known cure for ALS, making it all the more essential to support research efforts.
