Since being diagnosed with ALS in May 2023, life has been full of constant change, uncertainty, stress and a lot of powerful and positive emotions and experiences!
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
I refuse to let this disease become my legacy. This is why I WALK! I want to change the awareness trajectory while raising much needed funds to help those affected by way of new technological advancements in trials and medicine, hardware for ease of living, and emotional support programs for families. Raising money and demanding a call for action with legislation will make an impact on my community and one that cannot be erased. THIS IS MY LEGACY. Please join me in my biggest challenge ever- to be alive! Thank you!!
