Why I Walk
I walk for my dad, Scott.
ALS has changed our family?s life, but it has also shown us the strength of love, faith, and community. On November 8th, I?ll walk with Scott Strong to honor my parents and help bring hope to families like ours.
Every night, I help him get ready for bed. It?s a small part of his daily care, but even in those moments, I glimpse the weight of what my mom carries as his full-time caregiver. Watching someone you love face ALS is heartbreaking. It is a disease that steals abilities little by little, but it cannot steal love, faith, or hope.
I walk because I want to honor my dad?s strength, my mom?s devotion, and the courage of every family fighting this disease. I walk because I believe in the importance of raising awareness, funding research, and making sure families like mine never feel alone.
ALS Arizona has already blessed our family in tangible ways, and I want to give back by supporting their work.
On November 8th, I?ll be walking with my family and our team, Scott Strong. My prayer is that one day, no family will ever have to hear the words: ?You have ALS.?
