Welcome to My Personal Page
I have spent 10 plus years of my career working alongside people living with ALS, their families, advocates, researchers, clinicians, and companies working to develop new treatments. Over the years, ALS has become far more than a professional cause to me. It is deeply personal.
I have had the privilege of knowing extraordinary people who have faced this devastating disease with courage, determination, humor, and an unwavering commitment to making things better for those who come after them. I walk in memory of those we have lost, including Mike Cimbura, Phil Green, Sandy Morris, and so many others whose lives and advocacy continue to inspire me. And I walk for every person and family living with ALS today.
ALS is a progressive and ultimately fatal neurodegenerative disease that can take away a person’s ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. There is still no cure, and people living with ALS do not have the luxury of waiting for science to someday catch up.
That is why this Walk matters.
We must continue investing in research and supporting companies like BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics and others working to develop meaningful treatments. But at the same time, we must never lose sight of the people who need help today. People living with ALS deserve access to care, support, clinical research, promising treatment options, and most importantly, hope.
The ALS community has made tremendous progress in research, advocacy, access to care, and public policy, but there is still so much more to do. Every step we take and every dollar we raise helps support people affected by ALS while keeping urgency behind the search for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
That is why Team Turner Holliday: Hope Blooms for ALS is walking.
We walk in memory.
We walk for those living with ALS today.
We walk for their families and caregivers.
And we walk because hope must be matched with action.
Please consider joining our team or making a donation. Together, we can help people living with ALS today while continuing to fight for a future where no family has to face this disease.
Hope Blooms when we refuse to stop fighting for people with ALS.
