Scottsdale Walk ALS 2026

Here's to LIFE!
Here's to LIFE!

Tammys Unbreakable warriors

My name is Tammy Young,  I was diagnosed with ALS on September 18, 2023. I am a loving mother to 4 amazing children.  Justin, Jacob,  Chloe and Connor. A blessed mother in law to 2 amazing and beautiful ladies, Jenna and Monique.   A loving Gammy to 4 perfect granbabies. And an obsessed and loving wife to my amazing husband Brett (BJ). Prior to my diagnosis I was always on the go, I love hunting with my husband and we have also taught our 4 kids to hunt, camp, and survive the land. I am a Big game photography in my spare time, although now I have very many limitations.   I am very much into crafts, soap making and my husband and I built our own Handyman/construction business almost 12 years ago and we are still going strong.  Although my part in our business has become limited, I still get involve in any way that I am able.  I am in the process of learning to use a tobii eye gaze to help communicate.  I have lost most of my speech but can still communicate my needs at this time.   I use a wheelchair to get around and on good days I can stand and transport myself to a walker but I only do this in the house. I recently had a feeding tube placed, it is a love/hate relationship as I navigate the changes that seem to sometimes happen quickly and others slowly.  ALS is not easy on any life it touches. It does not just involve the person with the diagnosis,  it touches the lives of everyone you know.  Friends,  family, caregivers,  your care team , local foundations and even every other person you meet that has ALS on your journey, becomes a part of you.

I hope to keep pushing forward for all those that I love so much and to prove that I will fight until the end. I am UNBREAKABLE!
