Hello Team Mimi,

I hope you’re all having a great 2026 and have enjoyed the summer!  Believe it or not, this year’s Team Mimi Happy Hour / Fundraiser and the 2026 Scottsdale Walk to Defeat ALS are right around the corner! 

We can’t thank you enough for an amazing 2025 - thanks to you Team Mimi donated $11,446 to ALS AZ and the ongoing battle to End ALS! That brought our Team Mimi fundraising total to over $75,000 since mom’s diagnosis! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This year’s Happy Hour / Fundraiser will be Friday November 13th on the patio at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers Pima Crossing (Loop 101 and Shea Blvd) from 4:30 to 7:30pm.  We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

As you know, the funds we have raised in mom’s memory for ALS AZ are not only an amazing way to honor her but they are also critical for ALS AZ and their support of current ALS patients, their families and caregivers throughout AZ.  We are so lucky to be able to support them in the ongoing battle to End ALS.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP  

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.  

That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to End ALS. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments a cure. Please join us.  

ABOUT ALS  

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.  

ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
