My mom was diagnosed with ALS in fall 2025. ALS Arizona has been a wonderful support to our family. They are quick to provide resources to make life a little easier and information to help us wrap our brains around this disease and how we can adapt to it without letting it define us. It’s hard to describe how many times you think you’ve gotten to a place where the new normal is manageable only to be realize that with ALS there is no such thing as normal. It’s been so helpful to know we can reach out to ALS Arizona. If you know my mom, you know that she’s meeting this moment in life with determination surrounded by a loving village of support. So, I’m hoping to raise some funds for ALS Arizona to help them continue helping families like ours.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cure.
