Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear friends, family, and supporters,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and compassion. Your support means more to me than words can express as I embark on this Walk to Defeat ALS journey.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, has recently hit close to home. My dad, at 86 years old, has been diagnosed with this relentless neuromuscular condition. Witnessing his strength in the face of this diagnosis has been both humbling and inspiring. As I walk, I carry not only his courage but also the love and resilience of all those who are battling ALS.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis progressively robs individuals of their abilities to move, communicate, and even breathe. It's a cruel disease that defies age, affecting individuals from all walks of life. The urgency to find treatments and ultimately a cure for ALS is more pressing than ever.
With each step I take, I'm driven by the desire to make a real impact. I walk to rewrite the story of ALS, to bring hope to those who need it most, and to stand beside the remarkable caregivers who provide unwavering support. Together, let's ensure that no family has to hear the devastating words "You Have ALS" in the future.
The strides made in ALS research over the past two years have been remarkable, but our journey is far from over. The progress we've achieved has paved the way for improved care, legislative changes, and heightened awareness. However, the ultimate key to a cure rests in the collective efforts of all of us.
I invite you to join me on this journey—whether by walking alongside me or by contributing to our team. Your support will play a vital role in transforming the lives of those affected by ALS. Every dollar raised, every step taken, brings us closer to a future where ALS is a thing of the past.
Let's be the stars that shine through the darkness of ALS. Your contribution fuels our mission, and together, we can create a world where ALS is defeated.
With gratitude and hope,
Kim
